Metalsmith Studio Open Hours

Thursday, February 13th 5 pm to 9 pm 

Ages:  18+; 13-17 years old may participate with enrolled parent/guardian

Join us for open studio hours in our state-of-the-art metal studio. Full use of great equipment for fabrication and casting. An opportunity to network and share camaraderie and the joy of wearable art. Gases include natural/ oxygen, propane, butane, and oxyacetylene, as well as an electric gas melt furnace. Equipment includes a hydraulic press with multiple stakes and add one, steel rolling mill, solder stations, flex shafts, buffers, lathe, drill press, and a full supply of hand tools.

In this course we will handmake original pet bowls using a slab roller and colored slips. In our second session, we will head over to the metal studio to make custom tags to attach onto our bowls
