Description:
Explore the beauty and complexity of hollow glass forms! Over three weeks, you’ll learn a different hollow bead technique each session—using both soft glass and borosilicate. Work on a mandrel and a mini blowpipe as you create stunning, lightweight hollow pieces. Some flameworking experience recommended.

Torch Enamel on Copper Jewelry I

Materials: $25 included
Ages: 16 and up
This is a make-and-take class. Use a stationary torch to create enameled copper shapes for earrings and other jewelry. Basic torch safety will be discussed. Several techniques will be explored, including cutouts, sgraffito, and color blending. All materials are included.
IMPORTANT: Students taking glass courses using a torch must wear natural fiber clothing (i.e., cotton shirt and denim jeans), closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back and out of the way. Loose clothing that will be in the way of the torch is strongly discouraged. Please wear clothing that is not essential to your wardrobe. AN N95 RESPIRATION MASK IS REQUIRED for your safety.
