Sunday November 8th * 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Bouquet of fall leaves, acorns and seed pods!  In this fun and fast-paced workshop, students will work with molten glass on the end of a wire to create delicate sculptural forms inspired by nature.  From flowers to whimsical organic shapes, each piece will come together into a beautiful take-home bouquet. A playful and creative class that’s perfect for all experience levels—and a wonderful way to experience the expressive side of glass.

4 Tuesdays: November 10th & 17th (skip Nov 24 for holiday) and December 1st & 8th * 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Learn what an amazing fiber wool is! Beginning and continuing students who wish to grow totheir spinning skills are invited to join the class. Using vintage spinning wheels learn how to prepare wool, make thread, ply and yield yarn suitable for knitting and crocheting or other fiber arts. Washed and carded prepared wool will be provided. Short introductions about natural dyeing and felting will be interspersed.

Location: Taught at Tink and the Frog in downtown Adrian, 128 E Maumee

2 Thursdays: November 13th and 20th * 10:00am - 12:00pm 

Learn to use the glass tools and beveled glass pieces to create an original holiday or any day ornament. We have a variety of bevels to select from, add a little stained glass color around the outside, add a little copper foil and solder everything together. Attach a wire to hang and you’re ready for the holidays!

Age: 17+

Saturday November 14th * 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Come make a metal fish sculpture with us! All materials provided.

IMPORTANT: Please wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, covered toe shoes and hair ties (if needed).

Sunday November 15th * 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Try your hand at making blown-glass ornaments. Using an oxygen-propane torch, students will learn basic techniques for using pre-blown glaskolben to make blown-glass ornaments. Frit will be used to add color to the clear glaskolben. Learning how to control heat, gravity and blowing techniques will determine your success.

Creating these colorful ornaments will provide students a basis for working glass further in the torch. Each student will be provided 6 glaskolben. When you pick up your ornaments, be sure to bring packing material and a small container to transport your ornaments to the safety of your home. Basic torch safety will be discussed.

IMPORTANT: Students taking glass courses using a torch must wear natural fiber clothing (i.e., cotton shirt and denim jeans), closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back and out of the way. Loose clothing that will be in the way of the torch is strongly discouraged. Please wear clothing that is not essential to your wardrobe.

Tuesday November 17th and Thursday November 19th 

6:00pm to 9:00pm 

Weave your own Thanksgiving bread basket using primtive style weaving. 

Wednesday November 18th * 6:00pm to 8:30pm 

Create hanging glass ornaments for your tree, window or to give as gifts! 

Lots of colors to chose from. 

All tools and glass for up to 4 ornaments included.

Ornaments will be appr. 1.5" x 3.5"

No experience necessary.

Victorian Icicles (Make-and-Take) with Robin Schultes

Work with borosilicate tubing to create your shimmering icicles! Each student receives 6 glass blanks made of beautiful scalloped tubing to transform into beautiful winter Icicles!
