How to Photograph Your Art

How to Photograph Your Art
Saturday, April 4th -- 10am to 1pm
This 3-hour workshop can be for iPhone or digital camera users. We will start with some basic camera and lighting concepts. Lad will structure the workshop around the needs and wants of those taking part in the workshop. Workshop participants should bring a couple pieces of their art to photograph. Depending on physical space we will set up a few stations to take pictures. Lad will provide different types of lights to experiment with. Lad’s objective is to give class participants hands-on experience photographing their own art. You will need to have your own camera or camera phone that you know how to use.

Encourage your young artists to explore their creative powers in our Kids Club. Participants work with various media and explore all kinds of ideas throughout the sessions. The small class size allows the experienced instructor to work with every individual student to develop their ideas and express their unique artwork.

Step into the world of glass art with this beginner-friendly beadmaking workshop! Learn how to wind molten glass onto a mandrel, shape it, and add simple color and design elements. A perfect hands-on introduction before joining the 6-week beadmaking course.
Hollow Beads (3 weeks)

Description:
Explore the beauty and complexity of hollow glass forms! Over three weeks, you’ll learn a different hollow bead technique each session—using both soft glass and borosilicate. Work on a mandrel and a mini blowpipe as you create stunning, lightweight hollow pieces. Some flameworking experience recommended.
Pastel Plus 6 sessions

Pastel Plus
Tuesday April 7, 2026 thru May 12, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Six weeks of a creative learning experience. SOFT PASTEL is pure pigment in stick form. You will learn how to use this stick tool to create your Art. You will also learn how to transform this pastel to a liquidpaint, as a background wash. Pastel pencils will also be used.
Bring to class: Sketchbook, any soft pastels you have, a printed photo reference, apron, paint cloth.
ACA will furnish: Papers, some pastels, easels and backboards.
$15 materials included

Blow a glass bowl
with Kipp Scott
In this class you will blow a special shaped vessel.
Please note it will be hot in the glass studio. Long hair must be pulled back, closed toed shoes are requried.
