2026 Kids Art Camp

Monday, August 3rd through Friday, August 7th 

9am til noon

Ages 6-11

It's the middle of the summer and the kids are getting bored. It’s time to spark their creativity and the best place to be is at the Adrian Center for the Arts. Throughout this week participants will be getting into all kinds of materials,  from painting to constructing. We know every child is unique. We encourage them to express themselves and approach lessons from their own perspective.

August Clay Club (4 weeks) with Laura VanCamp & Pi Benio

Thursdays, August 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th * 10:00am - 8:00pm 

AND Tuesdays, August 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th * 5:00pm - 9:00pm

Want to work on your clay skills and projects?  No instruction is provided; however, clay residents will be available to answer questions. Clay will be available for purchase at $45/box, which covers glazes & firing.

First Thursday Open Print Studio with Kadi Franson

Thursday, August 6th * 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Do you have a printmaking idea you’ve been wanting to try, or an existing project you're waiting to finish? Come to the studio to enjoy relaxed, open creative time alongside other local printmakers.

Casting Workshop with Annemarie Kallenbach

Saturdays: August , 8th & 15th  & 22ad* 9:00am - 1:00pm

Learn how to sprue, invest, burnout, caste and clean up models from nature and from toys and from wax molds.

Material cost: $35 - included in class price

Ages 18+

Come paint with us! We'll be painting outdoors together to capture real-time natural light and landscapes. All skill levels are welcome to attend. Please bring your own materials.

ACA members are free. Community members are $10.

Arrive at 8:30 am to be ready to paint at 9 am.

Glass on a Wire Workshop - Flowers!

Saturday, August 8th

12:00pm - 3:00pm

In this fun and fast-paced workshop, students will work with molten glass on the end of a wire to create delicate sculptural forms inspired by nature.

From flowers to whimsical organic shapes, each piece will come together into a beautiful take-home bouquet. A playful and creative class that’s perfect for all experience levels—and a wonderful way to experience the expressive side of glass.

Flameworking Sampler Workshop

Sunday, August 9th

12:00pm - 3:00pm

Curious about flameworking? This sampler workshop offers a little bit of everything! Students will get hands-on experience working both on and off the mandrel while creating beads and marbles using soft glass.

This class is ideal for anyone wanting to explore the possibilities of flameworking in a fun, supportive environment before diving deeper into specific techniques.

Build It and Glaze It: Tumblers with Laura VanCamp

Sunday, August 9th & 23rd * 2:00 - 4:30pm

In part one of this class we will be creating 2 tumbers out of slabs. In part two we will go out to the glaze lab and explore surface design with glazes. Make the design your own!
