Morning Throwing on a Wheel Kids Camp (5 sessions)

Ages: 7 - 10
Monday, June 16th - Friday, June 20th from 9 am til 12 pm.
Ages 10 - 18 years old
Students will start to experience the feel of the wheel. The focus will be centering the clay and small cylindrical shapes, aside from becoming familiar with clay and studio procedures. Students will also work on beginning hand-building projects. They will also choose their favorite glazes for pieces to be glazed and fired.

Throw it AND Glaze it (2 sessions)

Throw it AND Glaze it
In two, two hour sessions learn both the basics of wheel throwing by forming at least one bowl and then glazing it. The second class you will learn about the mysteries of glaze and firing, where art, chemistry and physics intersect. You will chose the glazes of your choice for your fully functional, food, dishwasher and microwave safe bowls. Through out experienced instructors will provide the support and advice you need to be successful. Clay, tools, and glaze firing all provided. will ready for pickup at a later date to show off your new artistic skills to all.
Sun July 27, 2-4, throwing and Sun Aug 3, 2-4 glazing
