This fun and creative clay camp is perfect for younger artists who love to build, imagine, and get a little messy. Using handbuilding techniques, students will create a variety of projects like animals, creatures, functional pieces, and imaginative sculptures.
Each day includes time in the studio as well as outdoor breaks to explore the campus, gather inspiration from nature, and recharge. Projects are designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and hands-on learning in a relaxed, supportive environment.
No experience needed—just come ready to play with clay and have fun!

Create a 5x7 beach landscape capturing costal scenery. Learn to paint wet on wet skies and dry brush techniques to create waves and sand.

Make, play, explore.
This camp introduces older students to both handbuilding and wheel throwing, giving them the chance to explore multiple ways of working with clay. Students will learn the basics of the pottery wheel while also creating handbuilt pieces, with plenty of room for creativity and experimentation.
We’ll balance time in the studio with outdoor breaks around campus, using nature as inspiration and giving students space to reset and recharge throughout the day.
This class is perfect for beginners as well as returning students. Come ready to try something new, get your hands dirty, and have fun making!

**You may arrive just after 9:00am if you wish to forage for your own Fairy Garden fixings**
Visit Lindisfarne, a beautiful 80 acre homestead in Tipton, full of wonder and Fairy garden fun. Unleash your imagination as you build your fairy garden with pre-collected natural materials provided by the hostess, or come up to an hour early to explore and collect your favorite building treasures. Each participant will be provided with a stump on which to build rooms, garden spaces, furniture, bridges, ladders, etc. Hot glue, tacky glue, and scissors will be available. We recommend you bring garden clippers for larger pieces. Facilities are primitive with an outhouse and an outdoor sink. Wear comfortable walking shoes if you plan to forage.
Participants are asked to park next to the Art Barn. Exact Location will be provided a few days before the event. Proceeds will help support Lindisfarne and all of the good things happening there.

Step into the world of glass art with this beginner-friendly workshop! Students will learn how to wind molten glass onto a mandrel, shape it into a bead, and apply simple color and decorative elements.
This hands-on experience is a wonderful way to try flameworking for the first time and is the perfect introduction before committing to a full 6-week course.

Discover the mesmerizing art of marble making! In this workshop, students will learn how to gather, shape, and balance glass to create beautiful, round marbles.
We’ll explore color application and simple design techniques while developing control and confidence in the flame. A relaxing and rewarding introduction to one of flameworking’s most magical forms.

Participants will learn how to use plant material to transfer images onto a silk scarf. Jacquard silk dyes will be used. As a plus, experimentation using turmeric as a photo responsive dye will be explored on paper and silk. Participants will be able to come back to class two to four hours after scarves are steamed or prints have sunbathed to pick up their work. Work will be available in the Gallery office for those who cannot come back that day. Please bring gloves to protect from dyes. Wear appropriate clothing for dye. One might want to wear an apron.
