Garden Fairies with Laura VanCamp

Saturday, October 24th 2 pm to 4 pm. 

Invite some whimsy into your garden with a set of clay fairies. Designed for all skill- this class will utilize slab-building techniques to create 2 whimsical fairy decorations for enhancing your potted plants or outdoor gardens.

Halloween Enamel Earrings with Susan Matych-Hager

Sunday October 25th * 1:00pm - 4:00pm

This is a make-and-take class. Use a stationary torch to create enameled copper Halloween shapes for earrings. Basic torch safety will be discussed. All materials are included.

IMPORTANT: Students taking glass courses using a torch must wear natural fiber clothing (i.e., cotton shirt and denim jeans), closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back and out of the way. Loose clothing that will be in the way of the torch is strongly discouraged. Please wear clothing that is not essential to your wardrobe. AN N95 RESPIRATION MASK IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR SAFETY.

Sunday October 25th * 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Create spooky earrings and keychains; bats, witches and sugar skulls to celebrate a favorite holiday.

Ages 13+

The ACA metalsmith studio is a state of the art facility with natural gas & oxygen torches, rolling mill & numerous texture plates, buffers, large overhead shears, pickle pots, flex shafts & lathe with abundant attachments, hydraulic press with a full complement of bending & cutting accessories, and a full assortment of hand equipment. 

4 hour pass for $20.00, You may purchase additional hours as needed. 

There is a monitor in attendance but no actual scheduled teaching. Participants can use tools with which they are competent and comfortable. All safety precautions are to be followed and are posted.

Come paint with us! We'll be painting outdoors together to capture real-time natural light and landscapes. All skill levels are welcome to attend. Please note, this is a self-guided group session with no formal instruction. Bring your own materials.

4 Sundays: November 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd *  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Dive into the world of molten glass and discover the art of beadmaking! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to build beads on the mandrel, shape them with confidence, and add simple, colorful designs. In a welcoming and safe studio environment, you’ll get comfortable working with the flame while exploring your creativity. The perfect place to begin your flameworking journey as well as a continuation for our intermediate students.                        

Sunday November 1 * 1:00pm to 5:00pm 

This is a make-and-take class. Use a stationary torch to create enameled copper shapes utilizing a variety of torch enamel techniques to be assembled into a bracelet.  All materials are included.

6 Mondays: November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th and December 7th

1:00pm to 4:00pm

Have a clay idea you’ve been wanting to try or a project you’d like help completing? This class provides relaxed, instructor-supported studio time with demonstrations, troubleshooting, and individualized guidance in wheel throwing, handbuilding, and surface design.

Students will pursue projects of their own choosing while receiving help with planning, technique, and problem-solving along the way. This class is best suited for students with basic clay experience who are comfortable working independently.

25lbs of clay included. Addional clay available to purchase. Open studio time included.
